The Tequila legend

Our Tequila's name TOPANITO is derived from Topan. Topan was the mystical upper world of the aztecs, residency of the gods and all celestial bodies. According to a mexican legend, the history of Tequila began right there in Topan.
The gods were fighting over how to create a drink for mankind, which would have both light and dark sides. During the heavy discussion, one of the gods released a flash, which hit into a agave plantation. The fire spread immediately and cooked the agaves thoroughly.
Attracted by the pleasant scent of the cooked agave, the local aztec people tasted the juice of the agave hearts. They especially liked the juice if it had been fermented for a few days and thus unveiled its intoxicant attributes.
The aztecs soon mastered the production of the agave drink, naming it Pulque. Henceforward, they drank it to grant honors to their gods who had provided this delicious drink. Centuries later, the Pulque was distilled for the first time, and Tequila was born.
TOPANITO Tequila represents this Tequila of the most original kind: A gift of the gods, which is only authentic if produced in traditional, artisan manners and if made 100% from agave.
A Tequila with a flavor as pure as one would imagine from a gift of the gods.
